Aftercare Ilperveld officially handed over to Bodemzorg
In recent years much has been done to get the polluted Ilperveld, a nature reserve north to Amsterdam, clean. The aftercare of the old waste dumps there is officially handed over to Bodemzorg today.
The Ilperveld is a unique peatland area with a large variety of plants and animals. Over the years, the natural values of the area are being set under strong pressure by some poor old waste dumps in the area, insufficiënt water quality and contaminated sediment in the waterways.
Restauration of the area
A total of more than 32 million euro has been put in restoring the area outlet. The coming years will continue on a good design. Because Bodemzorg specializes in the care of rehabilitated sites and landfills, and offers continuity, the province of Noord-Holland chose Bodemzorg to hand over the aftercare of the old waste dumps of Ilperveld to.
